I recently redesigned a website for Vital Foot Care, which provides in-home community health care services within the Oakville and Halton Region. Vital Foot Care, provides diabetic foot care assessments, treatments, health care education, and wound care services to people suffering from various foot care issues. This project included a full stationery and logo design, alongside a custom web design, which was converted into a WordPress child theme.
The goal for this design was to create a brand that evoked vitality and well-being through the use of a vibrant colour scheme and large-legible typography. The website showcases Vital Foot Care’s services and invites the user to book an appointment or consultation through it’s use of repetitive call-to-actions. As the sole designer and front-end developer on this project, my role included design research, designing the logo and web design composites, wireframes, and mockups; in addition to illustrating custom iconography, and coding the website using HTML and CSS.
I also integrated accessibility features and added SEO compliant plugins for Google Analytic support. Overall, the client is excited about their new redesign and development of their website. Look out for Vital Foot Care’s blog, which will include various prevention tips, self-assessments, and treatments for people suffering from diabetic foot care issues.
