Flight Level Training (FLT) was created with one goal in mind. To help equip current and aspiring pilots with the information, knowledge, and skill in order to be successful in their careers. My challenge for this project was to create a brand identity that better reflected the target audience and external partners. There was an emphasis placed on establishing a brand identity that would work well as a word-mark and as a stand-alone symbolic logo for the brand. Therefore, I placed an emphasis on typography and graphical elements to create a modern logo with a traditional feel.
In collaboration with a web developer, we designed and developed a custom content management system (CMS) and integrated a learning management system (LMS) that was user-friendly and mobile-ready. To ensure that the content was manageable for FLT’s clients, we focussed on creating an intuitive design with strong imagery and an emphasis on providing a clear and engaging learning experience for the user. Since the main goal of the website is to provide education-based training for aspiring and professional pilots, the use of icons, video instruction, and clear call-to-actions were utilized throughout the website and online learning modules.
