If you’ve ever had to create a package design and had to layout measurements for die-lines, this script will help you save tons of time. With the Dimensions script (<— Click the link to download) you can add measurements to your artwork easily and quickly. Unzip the file and save it in a folder on your computer.
First, you will need to create a swatch called “Cutter” for this script to run. The cutter swatch will be the colour of the die-lines and measurements you wish to create.
Then, just select an object that you want to add measurements to and run the script.
Go to: File > Scripts > Other Script and select the dimensioning.js script you downloaded from the above link.
Measurements are in mm and are created on a new layer and grouped for easy repositioning and editing.
There are a lot of great scripts and other freebies that can help you free up your time and make you more productive on Adobe Exchange. Hope you enjoy using the script.
