Mark-Anthony Karam aka @edtechxd. — I’m a Design Educator & host of a Podcast, called How'd We Get Here? that focuses on education & design with wellness in mind. I'm currently a Graphic Design professor & program coordinator at Humber Polytechnic. In this role, I design learning experiences that foster accessible opportunities for social collaboration, student agency, and the inclusion of wellness as a framework for teaching and learning design in higher education. I've lead academic research on Hackathons as a pedagogy, the role of AI in design education, created virtual & physical community-based learning spaces for hybrid environments, and—in the recent past—received the RGD Design Educator Winner — Eastern Canada, Honourable Mention.
