I recently received an email from one of my recent grads (http://pearcesm.com) who came across these great Adobe Shortcut Keypads. Below are four keypads for Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and Flash. Feel free to download them – I’m sure they will come in handy.
This semester, I introduced a new course to my Graphic Design for Print & Web program at Humber College called “Digital Publishing for Tablet Devices”. Students were taught how to design and analyze traditional editorial magazines while thinking of creative ways to make the publication more engaging to the reader. Each student chose their own magazine and article to publish, as well as choosing and designing an advertisement to place within the magazine.
Students learned how to organize page and article navigation for both horizontal and vertical layouts on the iPad, organize and create folio’s, create object states, animations and many other interactive elements via the Overlay Creator. Some interactive elements learned were: audio/video, in-app and external web content, image sequences, scrollable content and many more.
Take a look at just a few of the many great projects that my students did this year.
