Main Street Group Inc. Website Redesign

We recently worked with Main Street Group Inc. to redesign their company website.The project included a fully custom content management system (CMS) solution, which was entirely built from scratch, including a custom HTML framework, PHP, JSON, and Javascript. The redesign is also mobile-ready and compatible with all browsers and mobile devices.The goal for this redesign was to create a simple, elegant, photography-based website that was visually appealing and easy to navigate for Main St. Group’s users. As the UI designer/Front-End Developer on this project, my role included designing custom iconography, SVG graphical interface elements, HTML markup, CSS, and Web Typography.

A custom drag & drop file uploader with added security features was designed and developed to replace the existing Flash file uploader. We integrated accessibility features for users with assistive technology needs, and added SEO compliant markup for future Analytic support. The redesign followed strict branding guidelines so there wasn’t much room for creative freedom; in terms of experimenting with colour schemes, typography, and branding elements. However, we feel the design is functional, clear, and much more intuitive than the previous version. The overall layout and imagery provides a strong emphasis on Main Street Group’s services and brand values; which also showcases the high level of detail and quality service that they provide.
