INTRODUCTION TO PC BASICS – IMAG 006

Learn how to be more efficient on a Windows based computer. Explore the essential elements of a PC’s hardware, operating system and user interface, including navigation, file management and shortcut keys, as well as toolbars, quick menu methods and the more basic functions. You will also have the opportunity to explore the Windows environment and utilize software and its integration with many of the design applications. The classroom-networking environment including connecting to a Humber server and outputting to printing devices will also be discussed. Time will also devoted specifically to file management, hardware considerations and general application interfacing: essential skills every participant needs to continue with the subsequent courses in the program.
